Losing by Inches

Giants suffer a brutal loss to the Phillies 6 to 7

Screenshot of the day.

Neukoms 1 out of 5

All good that was done in this game was erased by Eugenio Velez’s dropped fly ball in the 11th.

The Kale award (health hero) goes to Andres Torres

The Bacon award (health villan) goes to Lady Luck, you can argue that taking Tim out was a bad decision by Bochy, and you can argue that Brian Wilson lost the game for us. But Werth’s bloop bases-clearing double was a fluke. It hit the foul line it’s just one of those moments were luck kicked you in the balls. As for Bochy I stand by him taking out Tim, Wilson was lights out soo far and saving Tim’s arm for the playoff (yes I said it) is more important. As painful as a loss like this is you just have to roll with it.

With all that said…….. I just want to say this about the game also. FUCK SHIT DAMN ASS BITCH SHIT FUCK MUTHA_FUUUUUUUUCKER!!!!!!!! Oh ya and screw Velez! I HATE THAT GUY!!!!! …. no seriously, I think he just took Bowker’s place on the “headed to Fresno bus”.

Some extra screenshots just for “fun”.

What happened to us today.

Ok let’s not let this loss get us going in a death spiral like the Manny/LA loss did.

Well-(emeyer) Deserved Win

Man I am wearing this guy’s name thin……

Giants take the series from the Phillies 6 to 2

Schierholtz teaches Ryan Howard to run out a double.

4 out of 5 Neukoms

Only because Wellemeyer let Werth take 3rd off of him in the 2nd and it turned into a run. That is the kind of laziness that will kill us when our offense suddenly disappears (ala Petco Park Syndrome). And of course the missed sign that hung DeRosa out to dry when Bengie was batting. Also we only had 2 walks…. (not that I am complaining….. just saying)

There were some defensive highlight though, including Nate’s throw from right field, along with his steller catch in that same inning (i believe) and this gem late in the game to nail Utley. Man Nate was gunning the Phillies down tonight.

Speaking of Nate

The Scooby and Shaggy award (hero) goes to Nate and Matt Downs, Nate for gunning 2 runners at 2nd, and Matt for contributing off the bench.

The Scary old Mr. Withers Ghost award (villan) goes to Ryan Howard for not legging it out.

Other notes:

Let’s give it up for Wellemeyer…. He was about innings from going back to the minors and he has seemed to pull it together. Let’s just hope the he stays that way, of course matching up with a 47 year old man helps.

Nice catch by Nate!

Matt Downs hits one out. (Does he not look like Jeff Kent to anyone else)

This is either a GREAT promotion….. or a TERRIBLE one. Not sure which one it is yet.

Gotta hand it to Utley and Juan Castro with this nice turn on the DP.

Back-up Catcher Takes “Cy-Young Candidate” Deep

Giants take down the Phillies 5 to 1

When Eli Whiteside sees a rather large haul of nuts to stuff his cheeks with his eyes get big!

4 out of 5 Neukoms tonight

Pretty good defensive efforts from Nate Schierholtz, and Andres “ADD” Torres, plus relatively patient hitting backs our amazing pitching staff. Nothing that blew my mind, but this effort from AT was pretty good.

Here is a breakdown of how many pitches out lineup took during the game.

Torres 1, 1, 2, 2 (torres gets the ADD award of the game, Pablo can get away with free swinging forever but Torres can’t)

Renteria 4, 3, 6, 7 (look at the patience on that guy)

Sandoval 1, 1, 3, 2 (typical)

Huff 5, 5, 1, 4 (this is why I like Huff)

DeRosa 6, 6, 4, 7 (this is why I like DeRosa)

Schierholtz 3, 7, 5, 2 (decent)

Bowker 4, 5, 5 (Bowker is relearning how to lay off that curveball)

Whiteside 4, 5, 2,  (I don’t expect much)

Sanchez 1 (ditto)

PH Downs 1 (TLI)

PH Velez 2 (don’t expect much)

Sergio Romo 4 (took as many pitches than our leadoff hitter did in his first 3 ABs)

The Hulk Hogan ((WM3) Hero) award goes to Mark Derosa who sees 23 pitches in 4 ABs and gets essentially the game winning hit in the 1st inning.

The Andre The Giant ((WM3) Villan) award goes to Roy Halladay because he got totally body slammed by the Giants hitters hahaha

Here is some pictures of flying animals just for kicks.

ALSO I hope these douche-bags get mugged on the way back to their friends house in The Marina tonight.
