Jamey Wright, one time rival for prettiest man in the Giants rotation with Noah Lowry, is now flaunting his hunky 6,6 frame for all the seattle broads. Seattle is his 9th team in 11th years. 

“Don’t get Joe Martinez’ed”…… my girlfriend and I were saying that all last year every time something was thrown at our faces. Now, “Don’t get Joe Martinez’ed” means… don’t get traded to a shitty team, only to be traded to an even shittier team. poor bastard. 

OMG! It’s an Ex-Giant double header! Joe Martinez fools Fred Lewis with a pitch…… straight down the middle of the plate. 

Biggest clue that you’re watching an Astros game…… They are selling “all you can eat” tickets…. oh ya.. and Matt Downs might make the club while batting a surprising .354 worth of bad hop grounders and dry air aided home runs down in AZ. 

I DARE you to guess who this is! ok it’s Pat Misch who has a chance to crack the bullpen with the Mets, not that that is saying much. the Mets are terrible.  Trust me I have to go to their games.

I was on my yearly family camping trip one summer, when I headed into the nearest town to get my coffee fix. I jumped online just to see what was happening on the trade front…. Turns out we had just sent Matt Morris out to pasture (pittsburgh) and gotten the speedy Rajai Davis in return…… aaah good times… Anyone remember why we let this guy go? Wasn’t it to fit Jesus Guzman on the roster or something terrible like that?

ahhhh Bowker walking back to the dugout with a quizzical look on his face. A sight we all saw a bit too often. Actually, sitting over here in Brooklyn, I am definitely gonna try to hit up a Pittsburgh game this year. You could get tickets right behind home plate for like…. $27.  

Speaking of Pirates…. Kevin Correia continues his misery tour of total crap teams as he gets the nod for an OPENING DAY START!!!! ARE YOU JOKING!

Was just checking out the latest ESPN baseball rankings (something I do when I want to feel good about the Giants) And I happened to look at the Blue Jays rank and line.

Ex-Giants Survivors From the 2006 Shipwreck

That would be Randy Winn with his first (and probably only) HR this year to help CC get a win in the Bronx on Monday night. Randy is hitting .125 with 14 ABs.

Not sure if you remember this ugly mug…. it’s Jamey Wright who is still inducing DPs for the team in Cleveland. He is in relief with a 4.91 ERA in 11 IP.

I think we all know this guy. Here is F.Lew dropping his first bomb of the season but with a cute little red maple leaf on his jersey this time. He is hitting .250 with 57 PA.

The older more bearded version of what a lot of Giants fans dubbed “WORST TRADE EVER!!!” Now I am not saying that Shea Hillenbrand was anything special or that he is even playing baseball still, but I don’t see Accardo having a spot in our bullpen with his, 8.10 ERA (no wonder they didn’t want to show it on the on-screen graphic) in 6.2 innings pitched. oh ya and he has not pitched in a winning effort all season..

Great News Everyone!!!! Kevin Frandsen has found a new home. He got picked up by The Angels of Los Angeles and Anaheim and has now is 7 for 15 in AAA Salt Lake, after being claimed off waivers. 

oh ya here is a little bonus……

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Everyone’s favorite whipping boy has landed on everyone’s favorite whipping team. Tyler “I can sweat anywhere” Walker has also not pitched in a winning effort (i guess that’s not that big of a suprise considering) yet. I bet the southeastern humidity has really fucked with Tyler this year. Here he is pitching in Florida…… poor bastard. To his credit he still has a pretty great pick off move.

Preseason Is Over & Fred Lewis

Now that we have mopped up two terrible teams and one pretty decent team, we have to consider the possibility that we are still a mediocre/pretty decent team. 

Don’t get me wrong, I think we are good. And the Giants will possibly put the baseball world on notice if they come out of these next 5 series and we are still on top of the NL West. 

It’s not out of the realm of possibility either. We went a pretty decent 33-36 against the Padres/Dodgers/Cardinals/Rockies/Phillies last year. And last years team is not as good as this years team. I also a lot of those losses were to the lowly Padres who will not be sweeping us again this year.

Ya, well…… I guess this is goodbye to the both of you. If there is an upside to Fred Lewis getting traded it is that maybe there will be a calm in the storm of “Fred Lewis is god’s gift to OBP” chatter on some other blogs……. ( I love the fact that there are (as of now) 438 comments on a Fred Lewis Post). I for one will remember the good times, like his cycle in Colorado and his Grand Slam. Either way good luck buddy, I hope you get a better chance (and a smaller outfield) somewhere else, you got lost in the “Todd Lindens” of our roster.
